Why Yoga?
· Strengthens bones
· Strengthens and stretches muscles
· Develops concentration
· Expands the lungs
· Builds stamina
· Provides mental challenge
All of this before even considering the deep sense of inner peace that the practice of yoga brings.
I have been practising yoga for eight years. In some ways it seems like no time at all and at other times that it has always been a bedrock of my life.
My initial training took place in exotic Morocco, and I do love Hot Yoga. However, my interests in yoga are broad. My influences are Rodney Yee, Jason Crandell, Neil Patel and Eric Schiffman. These guys inspire my own practice to get into the inner essence of a posture but also encourage me to link movements to create flowing sequences that challenge me and I can offer this to you my clients.
I believe yoga can be enjoyed by everybody, regardless of age or physical ability. Everyone can find some yoga to enhance their lives. I am able to tailor my teaching so that every individual can achieve their full potential.
If you are looking for a safe but through exercise system maybe because you are recovering from an injury or you wish to enhance other sports activities but developing long lean strong muscles yoga could be the answer. Yoga is especially good for creating a good all round strong supple body. Often women can lack upper body strength and yoga can address this without the need for heavy weights.
I teach Hatha Yoga, Children's Yoga, Power Yoga (using small weights) and Hot Yoga. Additionally I am a certified Pregnancy Yoga teacher. I am a member of Yoga Alliance. I am also a qualified First Aider.
If you cannot see the perfect class for you please contact me as I offer private classes £32 per hour. This is especially beneficial to those with injuries or busy lives as I can visit you in the comfort of your own home and leave you relaxing in Shavasana and tiptoe away!
